The Diabetes Self Management Education Program at the Davie County Health Department works with pre-diabetics, Type 1 / Type 2 diabetics and gestational diabetics to help them better understand the fundamentals of the disease including:

  • What is diabetes?
  • Medication education
  • Blood glucose monitoring education
  • Acute and chronic disease monitoring
  • The importance of physical activity
  • Nutrition education for the diabetic patient
  • And so much more…
