Even those who are already on Medicare are often confused about their options and benefits. This program will break down the various parts of Medicare and explain what each is, and when any changes can be made. It is perfect for older adults, family members and caregivers of older adults, or anyone who works with older adults who would like a basic understanding of the Medicare system. Presenters have been trained through the NC Department of Insurance's SHIIP program and presentation length is approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Advance Care Planning

When people think of advance care planning, many believe having a will, a living will and a power of attorney are all they need. In truth all of these documents are important, but even more important is the planning process to ensure that your wishes and desires are met when the end of life comes. The only way to ensure your wishes are met is to have a comprehensive plan and discussion with those who will remain. This training can help you understand the process, know what types of things to include in your plan and teach you how to ensure your wishes will be followed. This presentation last approximately 30 - 45 minutes and is appropriate for adult groups of any age.

If you have specific needs for training or a presentation that are not addressed here, give us a call and we will try to design something to meet your needs. Senior Services is also interested in participating in community resource events, health fairs, etc.
