VETERAN'S SOCIAL

Speaker:  Dottie Gettinger, Executive Director of Dottie's Home for Children & Elderly
All veterans are invited to come out for a time of socialization and refreshments.  Ms. Gettinger will speak about help for veterans who are contemplating suicide.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

SENIOR BOOK CLUB

At each meeting you will discuss the book that was read the month before and receive the new book to read. Books are provided at no charge. Co-sponsored by the Davie County Public Library. Open to those 55 and older. RSVP to 336-753-6230.

HOMEBOUND MEAL VOLUNTEER TRAINING

ADULT COLORING WITH DONNA

Bring your supplies or use some of ours.  Coloring is a fun, relaxing hobby that's not just for kids anymore.  Open to adults 55 and older.  No pre-registration required.

MOVIE DAY WITH THE GRANDKIDS

CAREGIVER ACADEMY - CREATIVE & HOLISTIC ALTERNATIVES


Wednesday, June 26 - 1:00 - 2:30pm
Wake Forest Baptist Health Davie Medical Center
We are pleased to be a partner in the Caregiver Academy, which meets monthly to provide education and support to caregivers.  This month we will discuss alternative outlets for stimulation and engagement to avoid social isolation.  We will talk about how therapeutic breathing, integrative medicine, meditation and prayer supplement the doctor's orders and medications.  RSVP in advance to 336-713-2378.


LINE DANCE WORKSHOP

Cost: $5.00 (paid directly to instructor)
Once a quarter we bring in a professional line dancing instructor to enhance the skills taught each week by our volunteer instructors.  This class is open to anyone - beginner or experienced line dancer.  You do not need to be a participant of a current line dancing class in order to attend.  Open to adults 55 and older.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP

This group is open to adults of any age.  It is intended for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or other dementia but is open to any caregiver that can benefit. Meetings may consist of sharing time and/or guest speakers.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.
