QPR Suicide Prevention training

 

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a family member friend, colleague, or neighbor. From the QPR Institute, “Because suicides happen in families – where emergency interventions are more likely to take place — we believe that at least one person per family unit should be trained in QPR.”

 

Free Virtual Training Classes are offered on these dates this summer:

June 27, 2024, 2:00 p.m-4:00 p.m. on Zoom

July 18, 2024, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Zoom

 

In QPR Suicide Prevention training you will learn to:

  1. Recognize the warning signs of  suicide
  2.  Know how to offer hope
  3.  Know how to get help and save a life
