Teen Next Chapter Book Club

Davie County Public Library invites you to join our Next Chapter Book Club. The Next Chapter Book Club (NCBC) promotes literacy and social connection experiences for adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities, encouraging friendship and lifelong learning within a community-based setting. We will offer two clubs for adolescents: one for middle school youth and one for high school youth. Reading ability and level are irrelevant as we strive to match low level readers with reading mentors. Participation is free. With enough interested participants, Next Chapter Book Clubs will begin Fall meetings starting Mid-September. To demonstrate your interest, please complete a member intake form and return it to Miss Julie. She will contact you about meeting dates. For more information, parents, participants and volunteer/mentors may contact Julie Whittaker, Youth Services Librarian:
jwhittaker@daviecountync.gov or 336-753-6038.
