4-H Kits Available to Davie County Residents

Even though many regular summer activities have been cancelled or changed, the N.C. Cooperative Extension Davie County Center still has some fun planned for Davie County youth this summer. The Davie County Cooperative Extension’s 4-H team has been hard at work assembling interactive kits filled with activities and goodies to keep students engaged and learning during the summer months.

By offering STEM Kits, Animal Science Kits, Healthy Living Kits, and Planting Kits, there will be something for everyone and a chance to learn something new!

If you’re interested in keeping your hands busy and your brains active, Davie County 4-H has several STEM kits available for you. Here are some of the creations you can make with this kit:

•    A Rain Gauge

•    Paper Rocket Launcher

•    Candy Rocks

•    Ecosystem Jungle

If your child loves animals and wants to learn more about them, check out the interactive activities in the Davie County 4-H’s dairy and pig kits. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn something new in a fun and creative way! This kit is complete with:

•    Coloring sheets

•    Crafts

•    Supplies to make your own ice cream

Even though our summers look different, we can still be active and find some fun things to do to keep your mind and body healthy! This kit helps you to find ways to keep yourself active even when it doesn’t seem like there’s much to do. It includes:

•    Activity log

•    Tips on screen time & healthy eating

•    Goodies like stickers, personal water bottle and a frisbee

Start working on your green thumb from a young age with the Davie County 4-H’s Panting Kit. You can work on adding to your garden and learning how to plant seeds using the supplies provided in this kit.

•    Coloring book

•    Seeds & potting soil

•    Instructions on how to plant your seeds
