Mocksville, NC – North Carolina Senior Games is a year-round health promotion and wellness education program for older adults. Davie County Senior Services along with many local agencies provides the local Senior Games program. The local games offer competitive and non-competitive sports events for seniors 50 and better. Various games offered include horseshoes, basketball, bocce, tennis, golf, bowling, etc. Another part of Senior Games is SilverArts. SilverArts includes everything from performing and photography to quilting, and much more!
Davie County Senior Services will be holding an information session on February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Davie County Senior Services. At this information session, you can learn more about the Senior Games, what is included in registration and pick up your registration packet.
Davie County Senior Games is open to anyone 50 and better who is a resident of Davie County. The participation fee of $10 covers a meal at the opening ceremony, a t-shirt and another meal at the closing ceremony.
You have from February 3rd to March 13th to register and save your spot in the games. The opening ceremony will take place at the Masonic Picnic Grounds on April 2nd. Events will run from March to May with the closing ceremony on May 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Davie County Senior Services.
