What a week in Senior Games!
Davie County Senior Games stopped at Creekside Lanes on Monday, May 1 to kick off the three weeks of bowling events. The games started with Bowling Singles. This event is one of the most popular events in Senior Games tournaments with 40 total participants.
Winners:
(55-59) 1st: Beth Safrit, Mike West. (65-69) 1st: Connie Swartz, Frank Burgio, 2nd: Carolyn Sloan, Robbie Jackson. (70-74) 1st: Alice Monk, Rodgers Peoples, 2nd: Angela Bailey, Ray Evans, 3rd: Roni Barney. (75-79) 1st: Barbara Chapman, Ronnie Chapman, 2nd: Pat Gregory, Bob Phillips, 3rd: Jeanette Harpe, Larry Bailey. (80-84) 1st: Pearl Hainje, Roger Hall, 2nd: Sue Couch, Bob Tesh, 3rd: Lois Green, Mike Barnette. (85-89) 1st: Joe Pisanelle. (95-99) 1st: Nancy Tutterow.
Next the Senior Games participants stopped by Cooleemee Recreation Center (Zachary House) for the Horseshoes Tournaments. The ladies tournament was held on Wednesday, May 3 and the men’s tournament was held on Thursday, May 4. There was great sportsmanship and fun had by all participants.

Senior Games will continue throughout the month of May with more exciting events including badminton, table tennis, and mini golf.
