Yoga for Strength and Flexibility

You will learn to work with your breath and move your body in a healthy, mindful way to increase flexibility in the muscles, improve joint mobility and manage stress. All levels welcome (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Modifications will be given. Participants must be able to get down and up from the floor without assistance. Please bring your Yoga mat. Instructed by: Shannah Sarwas.  

Fee: $35 per session/$7 per class (drop-in)

Instructor: Shannah Sarwas

Shannah started doing yoga in 2008 at a local gym: she was immediately drawn to the fitness aspect of more powerful classes, as well as how wonderful she felt after practicing. She decided to do teacher-training to further my own practice and completed her 200 hour training in 2015 through the Subtle Yoga Charlotte program (based in the Viniyoga tradition). This program changed her perspective on yoga in a profound way: she learned to slow down and really listen to what her body is telling her. She currently is working toward my 500 hour program through an Iyengar based studio.

She loves the perspective, insight and balance yoga brings into your life in sometimes unexpected ways. She now enjoy slow-flow, viniyoga, restorative, and Iyengar styles the most. It is always fascinating to her to look back over our journey to see our transformation & wonder what is yet to come.
