Reading with Ranger gives young people an opportunity to prepare and read to a patient, listening, live dog in the library. Ranger is a "Tail Waggin' Tutor" with Therapy Dog International certification. Ranger and his owners, The Gaithers, will be available for 15 min. appointments on Thursdays and Saturdays 11 am until noon during the SRP'17. Please check the web calendar to verify his availability on summer days. Appointments must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance to ensure Ranger will be here. An opportunity for families to use our legos and games to play with each other. We ask parents to supervise their children's play and clean-up of materials used.

Joel will facilitate a Code Club for youth 8-14 years of age. Please see the link to the weekly activities. There is equipement for 10 participants, we'll add 5 to the waitlist and contact you if a seat is available. Participants may sign-up at the Youth Services Desk or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org one week in advance, starting June 19.

The Davie County Historical and Genealogical Society meets in the Martin-Wall History Room of the Davie County Public Library, on the fourth Thursday at 7 PM. The society often arranges guest speakers or field trips. New members and visitors are always welcome.
