Join us on September 14th to see who will be crowned the next Ms. Senior Davie County.  Any lady 60 and older who is a resident of Davie County is encouraged to compete.  Click here for pageant application. Due date is September 1.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS

WATER AEROBICS CLASS

Tuesdays & Thursdays, September 5 - October 12 - 2:30pm - 3:30pm at the Davie Family YMCA
Cost:  $20 for 6 week class
Senior Services and the Y have partnered to offer water aerobics classes to anyone 55 years of age or better that is not a Y member.  You will the the YMCA directly for this class, but must pre-register through Senior Services.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

BOCCE LEAGUE


Fridays, September 8 - October 6 @ 11:00am at Rich Park
Show off your Bocce skills and have some fun.  Play will be individual or as partners depending upon the number of participants.  Open to those 55 and older.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

SATURDAY MORNING BREAKFAST


Saturday, September 9 @ 9:30am
Adults 55 and older and their guests are invited to a great breakfast.  Sept. 10 is Grandparents Day so this would be a great time to spend some time with your grandchildren!  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

2nd ANNUAL MS SENIOR DAVIE COUNTY PAGEANT


Thursday, September 14 @ 6:30pm - First Baptist Church of Mocksville
The entire community is invited to come out and see these wonderful ladies portray aging at its finest as they compete for the crown of Ms. Senior Davie County 2017.  Pick up your free tickets to the event at Senior Services.


ADULT COLORING WITH DONNA

Bring your supplies or use some of ours.  Coloring is a fun, relaxing hobby that's not just for kids anymore.  Open to adults 55 and older.  No pre-registration required.

LINE DANCE WORKSHOP

Instructor:  Brenda Holcomb
Cost:  $5.00 
This class is open to anyone 55 or older - beginner to advanced.  You do not need to be a member of a current line dance group to join.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

FALL PREVENTION

FALL RAG WREATH CRAFT

Instructor:  Sharon Allard
Cost: $6.00
A rag wreath is a simple, inexpensive way to add seasonal color to your home.  We will make our wreath using a variety of fall fabrics.  An example will be displayed at Senior Services prior to the class.  Open to adults 55 and older.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

SENIOR BOOK CLUB 


Tuesday, September 19 @ 1:30pm 
Leader: Genny Hinkle 
At each meeting you will discuss the book that was read the month before and receive the new book to read. Books are provided at no charge. Co-sponsored by the Davie County Public Library. Open to those 55 and older. RSVP to 336-753-6230.


HOMEBOUND MEAL VOLUNTEER TRAINING

This training is for those who are interested in volunteering to deliver homebound meals.  RSVP to 336-753-6230.

THEATRE CLUB

This group meets once per month to discuss various theatrical options in the area and to choose different plays and performances to attend as a group.  Each person pays for their ticket.  Open to those 55 and older.
